Becoming a MobileDevCamp NYC 2011 event sponsor is not only a good decision for your business or organization, but it is a great way of gaining exposure to a large and active member-base network of highly skilled software engineers. Technology is more complex than ever before and with the iOS (iPad/iPhone) & Android platform, no end is in sight for market growth; this could be your greatest opportunity. Applications are developed, knowledge is shared, networking among their peers, and learning about the latest technologies, all of this for such a small investment. Everyone has a great time and get to meet like-minded coders in the developer community. While we never know the attendance numbers expected for MobileDevCamp NYC 2011 event, we do expect it to be stronger than the last iPadDevCamp NYC 2010 event. We will be building on the format of our sold out 2010 iPad DevCamp this year by inviting all those hot-shot Android developers to come out and play with the iOS hackers. Our contests will include prizes for both iOS and Android entries with special prizes for solutions that combine the platforms.
Coupled with influencer interaction, we expect MobileDevCamp NYC 2011 event to attract strong media attention, as with our prior events. We are actively looking for sponsors to help make this event a success as well as for future sponsors for our upcoming events. Running these events is expensive, and our sponsors play one of the most important roles in making these events happen. We are asking for a minimum commitment of $1,000. Sponsors who give more will be given increased visibility. While we do not have official tier levels, we provide larger dollar amount sponsors with increased perks of our event allowing the smaller commitments their share as well; this allows everyone to enjoy in the successes of our event. CodeFab.com is again this year’s event organizer host sponsor. They have helped organized the prior not-for-profit events of iPhoneDevCamp NYC, iPadDevCamp NYC, and IOSDevCamp NYC. This year the focus is on multi-platform/cross-platform theme, with iOS and Android hackers, competition and cooperation prizes and panel discussions on approaches to multi-platform with debates of native vs cross-platform vs mobile web.
As a BarCamp-style event, 100% of all sponsor’s dollars go for the event’s production, the organizers and volunteers do not get paid.
While we are accepting giveaways this year as a form of sponsorship, we will not be accepting giveaways in lieu of a cash sponsorship. Sponsors who are only able to provide giveaways will be thanked during the contest results, but will not be eligible for the main sponsor benefits. If you do have giveaway ideas for the contest, please consider coupling that with a cash sponsorship of $1,000 or more for greater visibility.
MobileDevCamp NYC 2011 Sponsors receive:
- Listing on the event website
- Logo on sponsor marketing materials at the event
- Speaking time at the event (short intros)
- Guaranteed attendance for two sponsor representatives at the event (more for larger sponsorship amounts)
- Table space at the event for handouts, signage, meetings, etc.
There is no large organization running the MobileDevCamp NYC 2011, just a small group of organizers and volunteers. Therefor we are asking all for financial commitments, with payment required before listing sponsorship.
